Ce clip musical a été produit pour accompagner la sortie de l’album de Kháos on Gaïa. Il sert également de base de travail pour la pochette de l’album et une partie des visuels promotionnelles liés à cette sortie.
J’ai utilisé plusieurs techniques de montages et d’animations pour réaliser ce clip. Je suis partie d’une photo prise par la chanteuse du groupe, Torhia, qu’elle avait préalablement retouchée numériquement, représentant des aigrettes de pissenlits au bord d’un falaise surplombant la mer.
J’ai découpé l’image pour isoler les pissenlits, en vue de les animer au gré du vent. J’ai ensuite recréé l’environnement présent sur la photo sur le logiciel Blender, pour une bonne mise à l’échelle des simulations de fumée, d’océan et de nuage que j’allais y mettre en place. Cela me permettait alors de choisir d’autres plans à exploiter pour le montage final.
J’ai ensuite filmé la chanteuse de face, chantant le titre pour lequel cette vidéo était destinée. Je lui avais demandé de se maquiller le visage de manière à avoir une sorte d’arc-en-ciel radial qui servira à déformer l’image en créant du relief.
Vint ensuite la composition de chaque plan en combinant tout ces éléments, l’étalonnage, le rajout de bruits divers, et finalement le montage.
This music video was produced to accompany the release of the Kháos on Gaïa album. It also serves as a working basis for the album cover and part of the promotional visuals linked to this release.
I used several editing and animation techniques to create this clip. I started with a photo taken by the singer of the group, Torhia, which she had previously digitally retouched, representing dandelion egrets on the edge of a cliff overlooking the sea.
I cut out the image to isolate the dandelions, in order to animate them with the wind. I then recreated the environment present in the photo on the Blender software, for a good scaling of the smoke, ocean and cloud simulations that I was going to set up there. This then allowed me to choose other shots to use for the final edit.
I then filmed the singer from the front, singing the song for which this video was intended. I asked him to put makeup on his face so as to have a sort of radial rainbow which will serve to distort the image by creating relief.
Then came compositing each shot by combining all these elements, the calibration, the addition of various noises, and finally the editing.
